Ed Morrissey is an Irish Artist living in the village of Leap in West Cork. Originally from Tipperary and having studied fine art at the Limerick School of Art and Design and the University of Ulster.
It took one short holiday for him to fall in love with the beautiful costal scenery of west cork with its rolling landscapes and so he decided to relocate here purely to paint. He paints in both acrylic and oil and his work is primarily concerned with the healing power of light and water and the interactions between landscape and human experience. His work invites contemplation and meditation much like the subject matter he interprets.
